Please note: Kindle library books require an account with Amazon.com as well as a Minuteman account. Fulfillment is accomplished at the Amazon web site, and users are subject to Amazon's Terms of Use and Privacy policies.

Due to publisher retrictions, certain publishers’ (Penguin) titles are not available for over-the-air delivery. If over-the-air delivery is not available, you will need to download the title to a computer, then transfer it to your Kindle via a USB cable. These titles are clearly marked "Kindle devices via USB only."

Returning a Kindle Book early

You can return a Kindle book early through your Amazon account:

1. From an Internet browser go to Amazon.com and sign-in
2. Click on "Manage Your Kindle" (under "Your Account")
3. Select the "Actions" dropdown menu to the right of the title
4. Select "Return the Book"

Kindle Fire
(for ePub and MP3 audiobooks via the Overdrive App )

OverDrive Media Console for Android is now available to Kindle Fire users in the Amazon App Store for Android! This is the recommended method, as you will have access to more E-book titles as well as MP3 audiobooks.

While most titles in the Digital Catalog are available to all Minuteman card holders, the Acton Memorial Library purchases extra copies of popular books that can be checked out only by Acton residents.

In order to access the Acton copies of these books YOU MUST SIGN-IN FIRST with your library card number and PIN--only then will those copies be made available to you.
