Summer Reading Program Underway!

The Summer Reading Program is for children and families who enjoy books and reading. The child reading independently and the family reading together can be part of the excitement. The theme of this year's Summer Reading Program is "Wild Reads at Your Library!" Click here for the summer's schedule of storytimes and craft-times.


Programming offered by the Children's Department
* 4th Grade Booktalks (click for complete list)
* Story times for various ages
* Annotated lists of new books
* Preschool and Scout visits to the Library
* Junior Volunteer Program for students in grades 5 through 8
* Librarians visit Kindergarten classes at the end of every school year
* Library instruction for Grades 5 and 6
* Book Discussion Groups for Grades 3 & 4
* Annual Summer Reading Program
* PCs for word processing, CD-ROM use and filtered Internet access.
