Obituary for Otto M. Geers

    Otto M. Geers died at his home on Thursday morning, being ill only one week. For over thirty years he has been a resident of the town, well known to all the people as a prudent, peaceable and industrious man. In the home he was the same quiet, unassuming husband and father. Though born in a foreign country, he had the greatest respect for the laws of our republic. newspaper clipping part 2Each Memorial day found him reverently carrying the colors with the survivors of Post 138, of which he was a member. The funeral was from the Unitarian church Sunday afternoon. Rev. J. S. Moulton conducted the service. The choir, assisted by Miss Marion Wood, gave two selections. Burial was at Brookside where the G.A.R. service was given.
