Elbridge Conant, age 19, a farmer, is recorded as an inhabitant of Acton in the 1860 federal census, in household (dwelling no. 72) with Silas Conant, age 57, a farmer, and Elia Conant, age 56 ("1860 United States Federal Census," Ancestry.com).

The death of Elbridge Conant, Soldier in United States Service, and son of Silas and Eliza Conant, is recorded in the 1862/63 annual report for the Town of Acton (p. 20), and the 1863/64 annual report for the Town of Acton (p. 18)
