Luke Robbins was born in Acton September 3,1837 to parents E[lbridge] & C[harlotte] Robbins (source: Massachusetts Vital Records to 1850.  In: American Ancestors  [online database].). He was the brother of Elbridge Jones Robbins.

Luke Robbins, age 18, a farmer, is recorded in the 1855 Massachusetts State Census for Acton, in household (dwelling no. 10) with Elbridge Robbins, age 44, a farmer, and Mary Elizebeth Robbins, age 33.  Also in household is Elbridge Jones Robbins, age 20.  (source:  1855 and 1865 Massachusetts State Census for Acton.
