The Acton Memorial Library offers reference and information services to every segment of the community: students, consumers, investors, business people, job-seekers, recreational readers and researchers. Telephone (978-264-9641, Option 3) and in-person assistance is available whenever the Library is open. We can also be reached by email at actref@minlib.net.
Resources
The Reference Collection is a non-circulating collection of over 5,000 books supplemented by a variety of subscription databases. Computers are located throughout the library and provide access to the Minuteman Library Network Catalog, subscription databases, and the Internet. Wireless Internet access is also available throughout the building.
Library instruction
Assistance using the library's collections, the Minuteman Catalog and online reference resources is available whenever the library is open. Library and computer skills workshops are offered twice a week, September-June. Please check the library’s Events Calendar for the workshop schedule, and call the Reference Desk (978-264-9641, option 3) to reserve a spot.
Interlibrary Loan
When a requested item is not available in the Library or elsewhere in the Minuteman Library Network, the reference staff will attempt to obtain the item through interlibrary loan. Interlibrary loan requests may be made at the reference desk or emailed to actref@minlib.net. Please include your library card number when emailing interlibrary loan requests. Patrons may also place requests via the Massachusetts Virtual Catalog.
