Comrade Robert Wayne
Who was born the
twenty fifth
day of
December
A.D. 1842
in
Lancaster County of
State of New Brunswick

On the eighth day of July, 1864, I entered the service with Company E Sixth Mass. Regiment at Readville enlisting as private for one-hundred days and still held the same rank at the close of the war.


As my term of enlistment had expired, I was discharged on October 27th, 1864 at Readville and never enlisted into service again.


I was confined for a time at a hospital in Fort Delaware, Del.


Among my most intimate comrades were Luke Smith, John Cash, Waldo Chaplin, Dr. Hutchins and Charles Blood.
