I entered
the service for three months in Company E Old Sixth Mass. Infantry
as private.
I entered
in the town of Acton, Mass. On the fifteenth day of April, 1861.
As my term
of service had expired, I was first discharged on Aug 3rd, and again
enlisted, for nine months in Company E. Sixth Mass. Vol.
My first
battle was at Baltimore Riot, Apr. 19th, 1861. |
