The name Elias E. Haynes is recorded on the Acton Memorial Library Soldiers' Tablet, "The Men of Acton Who Fought For The Union."

Elias Edmund Haynes is recorded in the 1865 Massachusetts State Census for Acton, age 30, "Carpenter", in residence with his wife, Abbie Elizabeth Haynes, age 28.
