George E. Peck was born c. 1844 to parents Nathaniel and Grace Peck.
George's father, Nathaniel Peck, a 55 year old laborer, died on November 6, 1853 in Acton, of consumption (Acton death record, "Massachusetts Vital Records, 1841–1910," AmericanAncestors.org).
George Edwin Peck, age 11, is recorded in the 1855 Massachusetts State Census for Acton, in residence with his mother Grace Peck, age 46, born in England, and three other children (Lainhart, 1855 and 1865 Massachusetts State Censuses for Acton: 36).
George's mother, Grace Catherine Peck, a 48 year old widow born in England, died of consumption October 28, 1855 in Topsfield, Mass. (Topsfield death record, "Massachusetts Vital Records, 1841–1910," AmericanAncestors.org).
George E. Peck, age 16, is recorded as an inhabitant of South Acton in the 1860 federal census, in household (dwelling no. 378) with Samuel and Betsey Adams ("1860 United States Federal Census," Ancestry.com).
George E. Peck, a married blacksmith and a resident of Boston, son of Nathaniel and Grace, died in Boston on November 11, 1892.
