Granville Wilder was born in Stow, Mass., Oct. 14, 1837 to Henry and Ann S. Wilder (Stow births, “Massachusetts Vital Records to 1850,” AmericanAncestors.org): Granrille [sic] W., s. Henry, farmer, and Ann S., Oct. 14, 1837.

Granville W. Wilder, age 17, a farmer, is recorded as a resident of Stow, Mass. in the 1855 state census, in household (54/55) of Henry and Ann S. Wilder. Also in the household was Henry W. Wilder, age 21 (Lainhart, 1855 and 1865 Massachusetts State Censuses for Stow, p. 10).

Granville W. Wilder appears in the 1850 and 1870 federal census in Stow, and in the 1890 veterans census and 1900 federal census in Leominster, Mass. ("U.S. Federal Census Collection," Ancestry.com).

Granville W. Wilder, born in Stow, Mass., died in Leominster, Mass. on July 7, 1903, at the age of 65 (death record, "Massachusetts Vital Records, 1841–1910," vol. 1903/30, p. 139 [image], AmericanAncestors.org).
