Charles Young is recorded in the 1865 Massachusetts state census, for Acton, as "Soldier", age 35, born in Maine, in household with Elvira Young, age 21 (Lainhart, 1855 and 1865 Massachusetts State Censuses for Acton: 73). 

Charles H. Young's name included on the Acton Memorial Library Soldiers' Tablet, "The Men of Acton Who Fought For The Union."
