A.D. 1847
in
Chester County of  Rockingham State of New Hampshire

I first entered the service, as private, in Company F 2nd Massachusetts Infantry on May 11th, 1861.

 

At the close of the war my rank was that of a corporal.

 

On May 26th, 1864 after the expiration of a term of three years service, I was finally discharged.
