On November 23rd, 1863, I entered the service as Corporal in Co. B. 2nd Regiment Maine Cavalry and at the close of war, I held the rank of Second Sergeant.

 

I was finally discharged on Dec. 6th,1865 as the war had come to a close and I had served two years.
