On July
25th, 1862, I entered the service, as private, in Company A. 33rd
Regiment, Massachusetts Infantry.
On account
of disability, I was discharged on March 6th, 1863 at or near Washington
and never re-enlisted.
I was never
wounded or taken prisoner but was in Feby 63 confined in Calorama
Hospital.
Among my
most intimate comrades were Henry Ellis, Charles Jenkins and L.
Ewing.
